CHILDREN'S SERVICES
We help to strengthen families in times of crisis with outreach services
and supportive counseling. Our primary goal is to keep families together
and prevent child abuse and neglect.
Emergencies can happen to all of us. If you or a family member ever
felt out of control, depressed, angry or anxious, you are not alone
and we can help. Our caring counselors and case managers help hundreds
of families each year who need a little support.
We’re here 24/7.
CES provides emergency services around the clock, every single
day. Experienced social workers respond to your crisis with comprehensive
services including:
- Parenting education
- Help for children with emotional problems or difficulty getting
along in school
- Conflict resolution
- Help for people who have suffered or witnessed abusive situations,
violence and/or substance abuse
- Referral to all kinds of counseling, community services, child
care and supportive programs
- Assistance in locating temporary shelter
- Self-esteem/parenting groups are offered
We’re here for everyone.
Our services are available to families of many ethnic and cultural backgrounds who live in the Pawtucket and Central Falls communities. Our multicultural staff has the ability to work with families from a variety of backgrounds including English, Spanish, Portuguese and Creole. Because our program focuses on prevention, families who are active with Rhode Island DCYF are not eligible for the program. If you are unsure of your eligibility status, please contact us.
How much do we cost?
Our services are free of charge for up to 60 days for families
regardless of income or insurance coverage.
How to reach us.
If you, a family member or friend needs help, please call the CES program at (401) 722-6053.
Referrals from schools, hospitals, the Rhode Island Department of
Children Youth and Families and other health and social service
agencies are also welcome.
CES receives funding through the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families.
