Rhode Island System of Care (RISOC)
Rhode Island System of Care (RISOC) is a Community Support program that provides
case management services through outreach efforts and support to adults
living with severe and persistent mental illness in the community.
The mission of the program is to help people reach a level of recovery
from their illness that will allow them to lead productive, satisfactory,
and independent lives. Services include supportive counseling, advocacy,
encouragement and assistance in accessing resources, referrals to
internal resources (for individual and family psychotherapy, substance
abuse treatment, DBT skill building groups), and rehabilitative services
(for social integration, vocational needs, and educational goals),
crisis intervention, Nursing services, daily living skills training,
evaluations of responses to treatment interventions, and ongoing assessments
of needs.
